THE YCEO: IDEAS with Edward:: The blend

In philosophy , ideas are usually construed as mental representational images of some object. Ideas can also be abstract concepts that do not present as mental images. Many philosophers have considered ideas to be a fundamental ontological category of being.

I don't want to worry you so much with terms but let me explain the word 'ontology'. Ontology is the philosophical study of the nature of being, becoming, existence, or reality, as well as the basic categories of being and their relations.

It means ideas bring something into existence. It is the fundamental concept of everything we see around us.

I deduced from the Scriptures that God after creating everything had an idea. God was like "We have created animals that are big, beautiful but lack the intellectual capacity to take care of other creatures so let us
create man in our image to have dominion over all other things we created" that's idea. I'm tempted to believe that man was not in the original plan of God but as the need arose, the IDEA came and man was created.

They say necessity is the mother of invention but I say it is the mother of ideas. Ideas bring about inventions. Sometimes ideas arise as a result of necessity sometimes out of surplus.

America is great today because of ideas. UK is great today as a result of ideas. Technological advancement is as a result of ideas. If you read the history of computer, you would realise that the super machine with use today has a very humble beginning but with ideas, it has come this far.

African young men should come to full awareness that for the change we desire to materialize, we need to put our ideas together. There is no idea that the mind can conceive that it cannot achieve. It was an idea of some young men some decades ago, to fly a plane in the sky and with consistency and determination, they were successful and today a larger machine of that calibre could fly 1000s of kilometers.

Many young men in Africa have great ideas that can change the fortunes of the continent but lack the wisdom of where, when and how to start.

I have identified three deadly idea killers namely ignorance, fear and laziness.

Many have the idea buck lack the knowledge on how to go about it. That's ignorance.

Many fear to start executing their ideas. They fear of failure. They fear they may not have money to start.

Some are just lazy. The knowledge is there to execute the plan. Cash wouldn't be a problem but they are too lazy to start something.

I wish to urge you to put your ideas to test. You might be the next Bill Gate, Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote etc. Eschew mediocrity and invoke full confidence in yourself. Yes! I believe you can do it. In the next decade, you should be a celebrated entrepreneur/inventor on the continent and beyond. Shalom!
